Coop Students Win at Yale Law School Moot Court Competition

By Mr. Murphy
Seventeen COOP students participated in the city-wide Marshall Brennon Moot Court competition at Yale Law School on Friday November 1st. Each student completed three rounds arguing a case about the legality of pat-down searches in a fictional high school situation.
The COOP students competed against students from Hillhouse and HSC and were judged by over 60 Yale Law School student volunteers. The two finalists, Makayla Chambers and Takeira Bell, then argued the case in front of three Yale Law School professors.

First place went to Makayla Chambers
Second Place Takeira Bell
Best Oralist: Dyesha Sanchez
Best Legal Reasoning: Brianna Eckenrod (Hillhouse)
